 Achilles journey 6 Months

Well here I am...over 6 months have passed.  I am walking slowly and with a very slight limp...I am able to go down the stairs “normally”.  Still a ways to go as calf is really tight and I can’t do the single leg calf raise...getting frustrated but very thankful with the progress I’ve made...can do what I need to do and have regained my independence

Achilles journey dec 4

Well today is 10 weeks post injury.

I have gone to physio 6 times over the past 3 weeks, and seem to be making some progress.  Have transitioned to shoes last week, and to a rollator walker today.   Still struggling with walking, but am trying to walk as much as possible, do my exercises...well most of them....and bike 10 minutes every day.

I crave normality...walking, driving, stairs, caregiving, not worrying ...need to learn to celebrate the smallest improvement daily

Achilles journey nov 28th

as of Thursday physio advised i sleep without boot and walk in shoes with walker.  Have gone back to Nike air shoes as sketchers didn’t give much support

Going slowly and trying to put little weight on walker as possible.  Also doing 5 minutes on cubii per day. Don’t want to rush things, but also don’t want to lag behind in progress.

Praying for a safe recovery
